Ian Logan Named Top Canadian for Week 18

WINNIPEG, MB - Winnipeg Blue Bombers' safety Ian Logan has been honoured as the Gibson's Finest Canadian Player of the Week after a dominant performance by the Bomber secondary against the Edmonton Eskimos who turned the ball over five times.

Logan picked off Edmonton's Jared Zabransky in the 2nd quarter of last week's game and returned it 16 yards into Eskimo territory. He would also add a sack after Zabransky fumbled the ball later in the quarter. Logan finished the game with six tackles.

This is Logan's first time being named Player of the Week in his five-year career. He is the fifth Bomber to be recognized this year as quarterback Buck Pierce, linebacker Joe Lobendahn, defensive tackle Doug Brown and returner Jovon Johnson have all won weekly awards.
