BACK IN THE FIRST STATE: The Hudson Valley Renegades continue their first series after the All-Star Break tonight as they take on the Wilmington Blue Rocks at Judy Johnson Field at Daniel Frawley Stadium. The Gades play an abbreviated three-game series with the Nationals' High-A affiliate before returning home to Dutchess Stadium on Tuesday. This is the first time that the Renegades and Blue Rocks have played since a six-game set at The Dutch from April 26-May 1.

ABOUT LAST NIGHT...: The Hudson Valley Renegades scored their first walk-off win of the season on Saturday, 5-4 over the Greenville Drive in 10 innings. Eric Wagaman delivered the winning hit with a single to right-center, scoring pinch-runner Aaron Palensky. The win salvaged a strong start for T.J. Sikkema, who struck out 10 in a career-high 5.1 innings. Sunday's series finale with Greenville was canceled due to a player safety issue with the second base bag and will not be made up.

EL MARCIANO IS HERE: On Friday Jasson Domínguez made his High-A debut with the Renegades and put on a show. He went 2-for-4 at the plate with a home run, a walk, a stolen base and three runs scored. The 19-year-old is the youngest player on the Renegades this year, and is the Yankees No. 3 prospect and No. 39 in MiLB, according to MLB Pipeline.

A LITTLE EXTRA: With their extra-inning contests on Saturday, July 16 and Friday, the Renegades have played back-to-back extra-inning games for the first time all year, albeit with a five-day break in between. Both games ended in walk-offs, with the Gades beating Greenville on 7/16, then Wilmington taking down HV on Friday. Those represented the first walk-off win for the Renegades this year and their first true road walk-off loss. The Renegades are 5-3 in extras this season.

LUCKY No. 13: Renegades INF Tyler Hardman hit his 13th home run of the season on Friday night against Greenville. Not only is that the most on the team this season, but it ranks tied for sixth-most in a single season in Renegades History. Dan Grummitt holds the single-season record with 22, while Josh Breaux (17), Anthony Volpe (15) and Everson Pereira (14) all hit more in 2021.

TWO RECORDS WITH ONE STONE: With his steal of second base in the third inning on Friday, Cooper Bowman set two new stolen base records for the Hudson Valley Renegade. With his 34th steal of the season, Bowman passed Jake Fraley for the most steals in a single season (2016) and career for Hudson Valley. Bowman is one of just three players in franchise history to swipe 30 bags in a season, joining Fraley and Michael Ross (2007). James Nelson is right behind Bowman for the all-time steals record with 32.

SWEENEY ON A TEAR: Since May 25 when his slash line bottomed out at .176/.261/.333, Trey Sweeney has been on a tear, hitting .273/.372/.467 across 42 games to raise his line to .236/.330/.416. One of the biggest keys for Sweeney during the stretch has been how dramatically his K% has dropped, from 31.3% before May 25, to 21.3% since May 25, while his walk rate has spiked from 8.7% to 12.0%.

GETTING ON: Entering play on Saturday, Trey Sweeney rides a 17-game on-base streak, the longest for a Renegade this season. Sweeney is hitting .313/.429/.531 during hte streak, which began on June 25. Th only two longer active on-base streaks in the South Atlantic League belong to Endy Rodriguez of Greensboro (19 G) and Bryson Horne of Rome (18 G). The longest on-base streak by a Renegade last season belonged to Ezequiel Duran and Josh Breaux, who both had 24-game streaks.

PINSTRIPED PITCHING PROWESS: Strength in pitching is a theme across the New York Yankees minor league system and the Renegades are no exception. The staff sports a 3.59 ERA on the season, the best in the South Atlantic League. It also ranks as the fourth-best staff ERA in High-A, and the eighth-best in the minor leagues. All four Yankees affiliated teams rank in the top 20 in the minors in ERA -- Somerset 3.50, 6th; Tampa 3.68, 11th; Scranton/Wilkes-Barre 3.85, t19th.

LET'S TALK ABOUT THE STEALS: With Carlos Narvaez's steal of third base in the seventh inning on July 6, the Renegades stole their collective 150th base of the season to set a new franchise record. It took only 77 games to break the record that was set by the 2021 Renegades in 120 games. The Gades enter play Saturday with 174 stolen bases on the year, third-most in the minors behind Down East (A, TEX -- 209) and Lake Elsinore (A, SD -- 187).

FUTURES GAME GADES: The Hudson Valley Renegades were well-represented at last weekend's SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game. Current Renegade Jasson Domínguez hit a home run for the AL team, while 2021 Gades Anthony Volpe and Ken Waldichuk were also selected to participate.

BAD MUÑOZ RISING: With 2.0 scoreless innings on Friday at Wilmington, Renegades reliever Jhonatan Muñoz continued a strong run of outings. In his last seven games (Since June 17), he has gone 2-0 with a 0.68 ERA (13.1 IP/1 ER), with 4 H, 5 BB, 15 K, lowering his ERA from 6.33 to 4.46.
