Hustle Wrap up Winter Showcase with Loss to Raptors 905

Memphis, Tenn. - The Memphis Hustle (5-11), the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, concluded the Winter Showcase with a 113-98 loss to Raptors 905 (4-12).

David Johnson led the Hustle with 21 points and seven rebounds off the bench. Two-way transfer GG Jackson II totaled 19 points and six rebounds. Matthew Hurt scored 16 points. On assignment from the Grizzlies, Jake LaRavia added 13 points. Jason Preston dished out 11 assists.

Jontay Porter paced the 905 with 22 points and nine rebounds. Kevin Obanor added 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Mouhamadou Gueye scored 16 points. Kobi Simmons added 15 points and seven assists. Markquis Nowell contributed 14 points and 11 assists. Justise Winslow tallied 11 points off the bench.

After six ties and six lead changes, Raptors 905 ended the first half on a 15-0 run to push their lead to double-digits. The 905 led by as many as 25 in the second half.

The 905 scored 27 points off turnovers and outscored the Hustle 62-48 in the paint. Memphis was outrebounded 52-39.

Records will reset when the Hustle return to action to tip-off the regular season on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 5 p.m. CT as they travel to face the Indiana Mad Ants.
