Duluth Huskies News Release

(Duluth, MN) It was a cold and windy night at Wade Stadium, and although both teams performed well offensively, the Mankato MoonDogs came through when they needed to and defeated the Huskies, 5-2 in the second of the two game home stand.

On a night that didn't get above 50 degrees, the Huskies picked up 11 hits, but struggled to follow through with runners on base. Alex Greene had two hits, Keach Ballard added three hits and one run scored to his recent hot streak, and Vinny Rodriguez had a pair of hits, including a double and RBI. Jon Hander picked up a second inning triple and was then pushed in on a Dom Brugnoni groundout. Josh McLaney was solid in relief, throwing three innings and allowing only one hit to keep the game close.

Huskies travel to Waterloo for a two game set before starting a six day, seven game home stand against Mankato on Sunday.
