
Huskies Earn Doubleheader Split

Duluth Huskies News Release
The Duluth Huskies (20-15) won the second game of the doubleheader against the Thunder Bay Border Cats 2-1.
Thunder Bay started the scoring with a run in the 3rd inning due to Eddie Posavec IV sacrifice fly. The game was scoreless until the 9th inning. Cal Stevenson got on first to start the 9th inning. Alex Greene reached with an error by the pitcher. Dominic Miroglio scored Stevenson with a single. Elliot Barzilli knocked in the winning run with a double that scored Miroglio.
Mitch Bauer pitched a solid 6 innings letting up one run and striking out three batters. Johnny York from Thunder Bay pitched all 8.1 innings with 2 earned runs. Moises Ceja was the winning pitcher for the Huskies.
The Huskies will be back in action at 6:35 tomorrow for one game against the Willmar Stingers at Wade Stadium.
