Hurricanes Recall Zac Dalpe from Charlotte

RALEIGH, NC - Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled forward Zac Dalpe from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL). Forward Brett Sutter has been reassigned to Charlotte.

Dalpe, 22, has totaled two points (1g, 1a) and four penalty minutes in 13 NHL games with the Hurricanes this season. The Paris, Ont., native has scored nine goals and added seven assists (16 points) in 23 AHL games for the Checkers this season. Selected by Carolina in the second round, 45th overall, of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Dalpe (6'1", 195 lbs.) has totaled six points (4g, 2a) in 28 career games on the NHL level for the Hurricanes.

Sutter, 24, skated in seven games during his third NHL stint of the season, and has totaled three assists and 11 penalty minutes in 13 games on the NHL level this season. The Viking, Alb., native has played 34 career NHL games with Calgary and Carolina, earning five points (1g, 4a).
