Ducks Recall Guenin

Syracuse, NY (January, 18 2012) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have recalled defenseman Nate Guenin.

Guenin, 29, was named Crunch Captain at the start of the 2011-12 season and has totaled three points (assists) in 19 games with the Crunch this season. The defenseman has also played in nine games with the Ducks where he has recorded one goal and six penalty minutes. Guenin scored his first career NHL goal in his Anaheim debut on October 7 in Helsinki, Finland. Guenin was acquired on Jan. 4, 2011 from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Trevor Smith.

The Crunch return home after a seven-game road trip to host the Norfolk Admirals on January 20, 7:30 p.m. at the War Memorial Arena.
