
Huntsville To Host Havoc Cup

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc announced today that they will host the inaugural Havoc Cup on Friday, March 7th at 5:00 on CenturyTel Ice at the Von Braun Center.
The Havoc Cup will be given annually to the winner of the city of Huntsville High School Hockey Championship. Bob Jones, Catholic, Grissom, Huntsville, River City (Decatur and Madison County) and Sparkman all participate in the league.
Huntsville has claimed the number one seed in the playoffs with Sparkman finishing second and both teams will receive a bye in the first round. Grissom is the three seed, Catholic is the four seed, Bob Jones is the fifth seed and River City comes in as the six seed.
The playoffs start this Wednesday night at the Ice Plex when Grissom will play River City and Catholic will battle Bob Jones. Grissom and Sparkman will host the winners on Friday night.
The gates will open at 4:30 and a ticket to the Havoc game will get you in to the high school game. The Havoc will host the Knoxville Ice Bears at 7:30.
