Huntsville Rallies for Win

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Huntsville Havoc scored six unanswered goals on their way to a 6-2 win over the Richmond Renegades Saturday night in front of 4,051 fans.

The Renegades took a 2-0 lead on a Drew Madeiros even strength goal in the first period and Phillip Youngclaus short-handed goal in the second period.

The Havoc responded with consecutive short-handed goals by James Patterson to finish the second period.

Mike O'Sullivan gave the Havoc a 3-2 lead just :30 into the third period. Justin Schmit made the score 4-2 with 6:02 left before Dan Pszenyczny scored on the powerplay with 2:59 left. Bill Monkman finished the scoring with :37 left in the game.

Travis Kauffeldt and Monkman both had two assists for Huntsville.

Nick Niedert got the win in goal for Huntsville stopping 31 shots. Doug Groenestege stopped 29 in the loss.
