
Hunt Named Schutt Offensive Player of the Week

OKLAHOMA CITY -Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz WR Al Hunt has been named the Schutt Offensive Player of the Week by the af2 league office.
Hunt (5-11, 205), in his sixth af2 season, led the Dawgz to a 57-42 victory over Central Division rivals, the Arkansas Twisters, on Saturday, April 5th. The veteran from Northwestern Oklahoma State University had an impressive individual showing with six total touchdowns, including three receiving, one rushing and two kick returns for touchdowns. His receiving totals included a team-high seven catches for 82 yards. This is the first Offensive Player of the Week honor of Hunt's career. He has earned five straight All-af2 selections, the most of any current league athlete. He earned First Team accolades in 2007 and in 2004 while earning All-af2 Second Team recognition in 2003 (Tulsa), 2005 and 2006.
"Al had a tremendous game for us and he is most deserved to receive the weekly award," commented Head Coach Gary Reasons. "He is a true professional that has been performing at a very high level over the past several seasons and I was not surprised to see him have a terrific night."
The Yard Dawgz head to Lubbock on Saturday, April 12th, to take on the Renegades for their first road game of the season.
