Huge Win for the Cats Over Saint John

This was a very evenly matched game throughout, the cats played a very solid systematic game that saw them open the scoring in the first with a goal from Ryan Penny! Saint John responded with two in the first to end the period 2-1 Sea Dogs with shots 15-12 in favor of Saint John. Cape Pele native Allain Saulnier got a shorthanded marker in the second and the Cats didn't look back. Delisle-Houde and Hrivik tallied to end the second 4-2 for the Cats. Allain got his second of the night in the third to finish the game 5-2, in a giant win for the Wildcats to snap a recent cold streak.

This puts the Wildcats in the lead for the Rivalry cup 9-6. Attendance was 4260. Shots on goal were 34-28 in favor of Saint John. Moncton was 1/2 on the PP and Saint John was 0/4 on the PP. Three starts were:

1. MON - 19 Allain Saulnier

2. MON - 29 Roman Will

3. MON - 15 Marek Hrivik

Tonight the Wildcat faithful helped us raise 1911.1 pounds of food for the West End Food bank!! This was an incredible turnout and both the Wildcats and the families that will use this food thank you!! The Cats are back in action Friday January 6th at 7PM at vs. the Gatineau Olympiques!!
