
Hudson Valley Tops Greenville

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Drive had a rough start to the series with the Hudson Valley Renegades. They took the loss with a final of 6-3.
The Drive were the first to score when Gilberto Jiminez hit an RBI Triple to send Nathan Hickey to home plate. Until the fifth, Greenville led the Renegades 1-0.
A home run from Evan Pereira with a man on base put Hudson Valley in the lead at the bottom of the fifth.
The Renegades added to their lead in the next inning when T.J. Rumfield rolled over scoring Anthony Siegler.
Greenville continued to have a rough time at bat while Hudson Valley took over the game. An RBI single from Trey Sweeney and a homer from Carlos Narvaez put the Renegades up 6-1 at the end of the seventh.
Nicholas Northcut from the Drive added on his 24th home run of the season to try and catch up to the Renegades. However, Hudson Valley still took home the first win of the series. Shane Drohan took the loss after pitching 5.0 innings with an ERA of 4.11.
The Drive continues the series at Hudson Valley tomorrow at 11:05am.
