Iowa Barnstormers News Release
DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers have re-signed defensive back Titus Howard to the 2023 roster, Head Coach Dave Mogensen announced today.
Howard (6-2, 185, Slippery Rock) returns to the Iowa Barnstormers for his second season with the team. Collegiately, Howard spent time at both the University of Pittsburgh and Slippery Rock University. Following his collegiate career, Howard earned invitations to Rookie Minicamps with the Washington Commanders and the Kansas City Chiefs. During his rookie Indoor Football League (IFL) season, Howard appeared in 15 games with the Barnstoremrs collecting 44.5 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and one forced fumble.
"Titus came to us in 2022 after a large break from football following some NFL opportunities," said Head Coach Mogensen. "Once he got reacclimated to the game he became one of our most reliable defensive players. In 2023, Titus should be able to lock down one side of the field and help bring our defense to the next level."
Howard will return to Des Moines for the 2023 Iowa Barnstormers Training Camp in the Spring.
