BROOKLYN, NY - Kyle Wilson struck out 10 batters, Chandler Avant and Jose Medina homered and Los Brooklyn Jefes, the Short Season, Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, completed the sweep of the Connecticut Tigers with a 9-2 victory Friday night at MCU Park.

BIG MOMENTS

Kyle Wilson struck out a career-high 10 batters over five scoreless, no-hit innings, joining big league rehabber Jason Vargas as the only other pitcher with double-digit strikeouts for Brooklyn this season.

Chandler Avant lifted a two-run home run over the left field wall, beginning a five-run fifth inning. Carlos Cortes later delivered a bases-clearing, three-run double.

Connecticut broke Brooklyn's combined no-hitter after 6 1/3 innings when Eric De La Rosa singled and Dayton Dugas homered against Andrew Mitchell, cutting the lead to 7-2. KEY CYCLONES CONTRIBUTORS
