Houston Dynamo Named Grand Marshals of Holiday Parade

HOUSTON, TX (Tuesday, November 22, 2011) -- The 2011 Eastern Conference champion Houston Dynamo have been named Grand Marshals of Houston's 62nd annual Holiday Parade, presented by H-E-B and to be held on Thanksgiving Day, November 24.

The Dynamo will be honored in the parade, which kicks off at 9 a.m., just four days after competing in their third MLS Cup championship game in six years. The Dynamo will be represented as Grand Marshals by team president Chris Canetti, while Dynamo Diesel and the Dynamo Girls will perform as part of the festivities.

The Houston Dynamo are a Major League Soccer club that has won two MLS Cup championships and three conference championships in its first six seasons and qualified to represent the United States in international competition five times, including in the 2012-13 CONCACAF Champions League.
