Houston Dynamo FC News Release

HOUSTON (Saturday, May 10, 2014) - The Houston Dynamo meet Real Salt Lake on Sunday at 6 p.m. CT at BBVA Compass Stadium. Tickets are available at www.HoustonDynamo.com, by calling 713-276-GOAL, or by visiting the BBVA Compass Stadium box office (2200 Texas St., Houston) from noon through kickoff on Sunday.

Sunday's game will be broadcast live on CSN Houston (5:30 p.m. CT pregame show) and can be heard on Yahoo Sports Radio 1560 AM and 850 AM (Spanish).

Tomorrow is the second of three consecutive home games for the Dynamo. Houston opened the home stretch with a 1-0 triumph over the Columbus Crew on Wednesday behind Will Bruin's sixth goal of the season. The home stand continues on May 17 when the LA Galaxy visit BBVA Compass Stadium.

The Dynamo are 4-4-2 (14 points) and tied for first place in the Eastern Conference with Sporting Kansas City, the New England Revolution and New York Red Bulls.

Real Salt Lake (4-0-5; 17 points) is the lone remaining unbeaten team in MLS. The club overcame a late 2-0 deficit for a 3-2 win at Chicago last Saturday though two goals from Joao Plata and one from Álvaro SaborÃ-o . RSL is in second place in the Western Conference.

Real Salt Lake reached the MLS Cup Final last year, falling to Sporting Kansas City in a penalty shootout. Real Salt Lake has a trio of 2014 FIFA World Cup hopefuls, including U.S. national players Nick Rimando and Kyle Beckerman. Rimando (353 career MLS games) is in his 15th MLS season and is one shutout shy of the league's all-time shutout record held by Kevin Hartman (111). Beckerman (334 career MLS games) is also in his 15th season and is vying for a place on the U.S. national team's World Cup roster.

Another World Cup hopeful is SaborÃ-o, Real Salt Lake's all-time leading scorer with 57 goals in 106 career games, including five this season and 17 in 2012. SaborÃ-o has 32 goals in 93 appearances for the Costa Rica national team and was a member of the Ticos' 2006 World Cup squad.

Dynamo forward Will Bruin has scored in three straight games for the third time in his career and will try to become the first player in Dynamo history to score in four straight games.

The Dynamo are 9-4-5 all-time against Real Salt Lake, including an 8-0-1 mark in home games. Real Salt Lake produced a 1-0 home win over the Dynamo last August. Sunday is the lone meeting between the clubs in 2014.
