Tickets for the Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoff Round One Best-of-3 Series match at Shell Energy Stadium are on sale and available HERE.

The Dynamo secured homefield advantage in the Best-of-3 Series with a 3-1 victory on the road yesterday over Portland Timbers FC. Defender Griffin Dorsey finished with a brace, the first of his MLS career, and Adalberto "Coco" Carrasquilla found the back of the net for the second time this week following a goal for Panama in group play of the Concacaf Nations League. Captain Héctor Herrera finished with two assists and set a new club record for the most assists in a single season with 17. The previous record was held by midfielder Brad Davis who finished with 16 assists in 2011.

Real Salt Lake finished fifth in the Western Conference after they defeated the Colorado Rapids 1-0 on Decision Day. Salt Lake qualified for the postseason for the third consecutive year and reached the Western Conference final in 2021.

Houston will travel to Utah for the second game at 8 p.m. CT on Monday, Nov. 6. If necessary, the Dynamo will host Real Salt Lake at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 11 at Shell Energy Stadium. This is the first meeting between both sides in the postseason and the all-time regular season series is tied with 13 victories for each team and 11 draws. The Dynamo finished with a 2-0-1 (WLD) record against Salt Lake in all competitions this year, including a 3-1 victory at home in the semifinal of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Aug. 23. Houston earned three points three days later in a 3-0 victory on the road over Salt Lake.

The Dynamo would go on to lift the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup trophy, defeating Inter Miami CF 2-1 on the road to secure its first title under owner Ted Segal, general manager Pat Onstad and head coach Ben Olsen. The victory also secured Houston's fourth domestic title in Club history after the Dynamo won back-to-back MLS Cup titles in 2006 and 2007, as well as the 2018 U.S. Open Cup. With the victory Houston qualified for the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup. This is the first time the team will compete in the regional tournament since 2019. Houston also qualified to the Round of 16 in the inaugural Leagues Cup earlier this year, in which the Dynamo defeated perennial Mexican powers CF Pachuca and Santos Laguna.
