
Houston Dynamo Announce Fan Appreciation Week

HOUSTON (Friday, Oct. 11, 2013) - With the Houston Dynamo set to finish the 2013 regular season home schedule, the club has announced its Fan Appreciation Week, with events leading to the home finale on Sunday, Oct. 20 against the New York Red Bulls at BBVA Compass Stadium.
Fan Appreciation Week includes a special autograph session at the adidas Dynamo team store inside BBVA Compass Stadium, a viewing party for the United States vs. Panama World Cup Qualifying match, the final Soccer Night Out of 2013, presented by Statoil, F̮̼tbol Fiesta, presented by Texas Children's Health Plan, and a "Wear your Orange Friday" capped of by a happy hour near BBVA Compass Stadium.
Fan Appreciation Week begins on Monday, Oct. 14 with an autograph session by Dynamo players Giles Barnes, Servando Carrasco, Tally Hall and Jason Johnson from 5-7 p.m. at the adidas Dynamo team store inside BBVA Compass Stadium (2200 Texas Ave., Houston). The first ten fans to spend $100 or more will receive two tickets to the Dynamo vs. New York Red Bulls game on Sunday, Oct. 20 at BBVA Compass Stadium. In addition, the Dynamo Girls and Houston's 2011 and 2012 Eastern Conference championship trophies will be in attendance.
On Tuesday, Saint Dane's Bar & Grille (502 Elgin Street, Houston, 77006) will host an official viewing party for the United States vs. Panama CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying match. The game will kick off at 8 p.m. CT and the viewing party will include a variety of food and drink specials. In addition, Dynamo Girls and mascot Dynamo Diesel will be in attendance to take pictures with fans. Tuesday's match is the final game in the U.S. national team's CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying schedule and a rematch of the 2013 Gold Cup final, a 1-0 victory for the United States.
On Wednesday, the Dynamo and Statoil host their second Soccer Night Out of the year from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Katy Park (24927 Morton Road, Katy, TX, 77493). Dynamo forward Giles Barnes and defender Corey Ashe will sign autographs at the event, designed to bring local communities together for free soccer-related games and activities. The Dynamo Girls will also be in attendance. The event will include pick-up soccer games, music, face-painting, mobile gaming unit, balloon artists, and a raffle for Dynamo prizes.
Fan Appreciation Week continues on Thursday when the Dynamo and Texas Children's Health Plan host F̮̼tbol Fiesta from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Northline Park (6902 Nordling Rd., Houston, 77076). This free event is open to the community. The first 50 children in attendance will receive a free pair of tickets to the Oct. 20 Dynamo vs. New York Red Bulls game, courtesy of Texas Children's Health Plan.
Dynamo forward Will Bruin and midfielder Warren Creavalle will be in attendance to interact with fans and sign autographs. F̮̼tbol Fiesta will include pick-up soccer games, inflatable soccer field, music, face painting, balloon artists, and a raffle for Dynamo prizes. Staff from Texas Children's Health Plan's community outreach, maternal child, and disease management programs will be available to provide wellness, nutrition, safety, and CHIP and Medicaid information. The Dynamo Girls and Dynamo Diesel will also attend the event.
To conclude Fan Appreciation Week, on Friday, October 18 the Dynamo will hold "Wear your Orange Friday", encouraging fans all over Houston to show their orange pride two days before the team's final regular season home game. The Dynamo will host a happy hour party from 5-7 p.m. at Lucky's Pub (801 St. Emmanuel St., Houston), on the doorstep of BBVA Compass Stadium. The party will include the Dynamo Girls and Dynamo giveaways.
