Houston Dash Forward Stephanie Roche Called up by Republic of Ireland Women's National Team

HOUSTON (Wednesday, May 6, 2015) - Houston Dash forward Stephanie Roche has been called into the Republic of Ireland Women's National Team for matches against the United States and Haiti, manager Sue Ronan announced.

Roche will face off against the United States and Dash teammates Morgan Brian, Meghan Klingenberg and Carli Lloyd at Avaya Stadium in San Jose, California, on Sunday, May 10, at 1:30 p.m. CT. The match will be broadcast live on FOX Sports 1. The 19-player group then travels to Lauderhill, Florida, to take on Haiti on Wednesday, May 13.

Roche, 25, has scored seven times in 38 appearances for Ireland. The Dublin nativejoined the Dash in February and has made two substitute appearances to begin the NWSL season. Runner-up for the 2014 FIFA Puskás Award for goal of the year, Roche is the first Irish woman to play in the NWSL.
