GM Dave Torrie announced that players Jordan Carroll and Mike MacIntyre were released by the OHL Club.
Carroll, a 19-year old forward from Hamner, ONT has spent the previous 2 seasons with the Hounds after being selected in the 7th Round of the 2007 Priority Selection.MacIntyre, meanwhile, was looking to crack the Major Junior roster after spending last season with the Chatham Maroons Jr. B Hockey Club.
With the latest roster moves the Greyhounds now sit with 2 goaltenders, 7 defenseman and 15 forwards. As of today overage candidates Jake Carrick and Dylan King, along with Brandon Archibald are still away at their respective NHL/AHL training camps.
Next action for the Hounds is their 2010 Home Opener this coming Friday, September 24th when the Ottawa 67's make their lone visit to the Soo. Game time is 7:35 p.m. and tickets are still available for this contest.
