450 Tickets Just Released for Spitfires 2010 Home Opener Vs. Plymouth This Thursday

(Windsor) The Windsor Spitfires, two-time defending MasterCard Memorial Cup and Rogers OHL Champions, today announced that 450 tickets have just been released for the Spitfires home opening game to kickoff the 2010-2011 regular season against the Plymouth Whalers this Thursday (September 23, 2010) at the WFCU Centre. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m., tickets for the game can be purchased at the TekSavvy.com Box Office (Gate 2 of the WFCU Centre) by phone at 1-888-969-WFCU or online at windsorspitfires.com

The TekSavvy.com Box Office schedule for the upcoming season is as follows:

*Hours of Operation

Sunday Closed (on game days, the box office will be open on Sundays at Noon for 2:00 pm games)

Monday - Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

*The box office will be open on game days until the end of the second intermission

** 2010-2011 Regular Season Ticket Prices

Adult $21

Students $19 (Students with valid I.D)

Seniors $19 (Seniors 60 and over as of Sep. 23, 2010)

Youth $15

Restaurant Level $29

** Price includes taxes and a $1 City of Windsor facility surcharge.

Prior to the start of Thursday's game, fans are encouraged to arrive early as the team will be hosting the "Meloche Windows pre-game celebrations" starting at 5:00 p.m. outside of Gate 2 on the plaza at the WFCU Centre. Before the start of the game, the Spitfires will also be celebrating their 2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup and Rogers OHL Championship performances as part of a special on-ice ceremony immediately before the opening faceoff. Fans will also have the opportunity to take pictures with the Memorial Cup, J. Ross Robertson OHL Championship and the Wayne Gretzky Western Conference Championship Trophies before the game at the WFCU Centre plaza until 6 pm and during the first intermission within the WFCU Centre's concourse.
