
Hounds, Sovereign Extend Radio Partnership

Soo Greyhounds News Release
The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club (OHL) and Sovereign Communications are excited to announce the extension of their existing radio partnership.
Earlier today both organizations confirmed that Rock 101 radio (101.3FM) will remain the exclusive radio outlet for all 68 regular season, and playoff games for Soo Greyhounds Hockey in a deal extends through the 2014/2015 Ontario Hockey League season.
Sovereign Communications locally owns 5 other station's including 99.5 YES FM, Country 105, Oldies 93.9, ESPN 1400 and WSOO 1230.
Bill Gleich, President of Sovereign Communications, Rock 101's parent company, said: "Our first three years with the Greyhound Hockey organization has been absolutely terrific. I'm delighted that we'll be partners for another 3 years. We like how they do business and look forward to a long, mutually beneficial business relationship together. Rock 101 and all six of our area radio stations are committed to helping the Greyhounds in every way we can."
Greyhound fans can leave their radio dial tuned to 101.3 FM or listen online at www.rock101.net for all the live hockey action.

During this season, I have been able to see firsthand how hard everyone at Sovereign Communications works to ensure our radio broadcasts are done at nothing less than a professional level.It is with great pleasure that we announce the continuation of this relationship for another three seasons. "
Currently in his 7th season as the "Voice of the Hounds", Gerry Liscumb Jr. concluded with: "Over the course of the past 3 years, our relationship with Sovereign Communications has been a large benefit to our organization. We have made enormous strides with the quality of our broadcast and promotion of our team, and we look forward to even more new opportunities this deal will provide."
