Midland, TX - Jack Cushing pitched 6.1 strong innings with seven strikeouts to lead the Midland RockHounds past the Arkansas Travelers, 8-2 on Sunday afternoon. He earned his seventh win of the season as the RockHounds won the series five games to one. The bottom of the fourth was the decisive inning with Midland scoring four times to break a tie and get control of the contest. Spencer Packard and Leo Rivas had two hits each to lead the Travs offense.
Moments That Mattered
* Drew Swift connected for a bases loaded triple putting the RockHounds in front for good in the last of the fourth.
* Trying to answer the next inning, Arkansas had two on with one out but a line drive turned into a double play and stunted any Travs momentum.

* Packard extended his hitting streak to 15 and has eight consecutive multi-hit games.
* Two recent additions, RHPs Alex Valverde and Blas Castano made their Travs and Mariners organizational debuts. Valverde started and pitched three innings allowing one run while Castano threw two scoreless frames out of the bullpen.

After a day off Monday, the Travs continue this road trip with the first of six games at Amarillo on Tuesday night. First pitch is set for 7:05 and the game will be broadcast on 106.7 Buz2, the Bally Live App, milb.tv and mlb.tv.
