Hounds Announce FanFest Activities

The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club is excited to announce plans for their upcoming FANFEST scheduled for Saturday, May 28th. FanFest will be a part of the team's Spring Development Camp. (formerly known as Mini-Camp).

FanFest events will take place at the Essar Centre beginning at 4 p.m. and all events are FREE of charge and open to the general public (except the Season Ticket Holder BBQ).

From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Steelworkers Inflatable Fun Carnival will be placed on the Essar Centre floor featuring inflatable funhouse, inflatable slide, inflatable obstacle course, dunking booth, cotton candy booth and face painting.

At the same time select present & all prospect Greyhounds players will be in attendance to meet, greet and interact with all fans.

Then at 6 p.m., the Hounds will hold their Annual Season Ticket Holder Barbeque featuring Pino's Get Fresh products. The BBQ will take place in the south parking lot of the Essar Centre.

(Food & Beverage tickets will be provided on-site to season ticket holders only).

Meanwhile the Hound Pound - official Souvenir Store of the Greyhounds - will be open during this time providing fans an opportunity to purchase merchandise and show their Red & White pride.

And for those fans looking to get a NEW season tickets, the Box Office will be open from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. With an overwhelming demand for Greyhounds tickets, this will be the first-time sales have been open for the General Public to make NEW season ticket purchases. Don't miss out!

The evening will conclude with a Town Hall meeting between fans and General Manager Kyle Dubas starting at 8 p.m. Fans are strongly encouraged to attend, as cordless mics will make their way through the seated crowd and allow them to address questions or comments to the Hounds General Manager.

"The Rising" continues to take the Hounds to new heights as we all prepare for the 2011/12 Ontario Hockey League season.
