Hot Shooting Stars Take Down Warriors 128-97

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars reclaim victory against the Santa Cruz Warriors 128-97 in their second straight game at home at the Maverik Center.

The Stars had seven players score in double figures and were led by center Tyler Cook, who recorded 24 points (10-of-11 FG), five rebounds and four assists in 28 minutes of action. Utah Jazz assignment player, Ochai Agbaji, and Stars forward Paris Bass, helped the squad to victory with Agbaji posting 19 points and four boards, and Bass registering 23 points (6-of-17 FG, three-of-three FT), four rebounds and three assists. Guard Jeenathan Williams added 20 points as a reserve, also corralling four rebounds for Salt Lake City, setting a new personal best.

The Warriors were paced by Dusty Hannahs, coming off the bench with a game high 28 points. Santa Cruz Forward Gui Santos logged a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Salt Lake City opened the game on a 13-7 run and outscored the Santa Cruz Warriors 36-25 in the opening period. This lead set the tone for the rest of the game as Salt Lake City outshot Santa Cruz from the field (.591-.500) and three-point range (.600-.558). While the Warriors held the advantage in rebounds with 10, the Stars led in assists (10-7) and blocked shots (1-0). Santa Cruz trimmed the lead to eight to end the first half, but Salt Lake withstood their advances and netted seven three-point shots in the third quarter to lead 27 points as they entered the final stretch. Salt Lake City closed out the Warriors' time in the Maverik Center as they secured a 31 point victory.

The Stars will travel to Oklahoma City where they will face the OKC Blue on Friday, November 25, at 11 a.m.
