
Hot Rods Shut Out Braves

Rome, GA - Bowling Green shut out Rome for the second straight game Friday night by a final score of 2-0 before a sold out crowd of 5,105 fans. The loss was the fourth straight for the Braves.
It was a pitchers duel until the sixth inning when the Hot Rods took a 1-0 lead. Tim Beckham led off with a double down the left field line and later scored on a Kyeong Kang sacrifice fly.
In the eighth inning Bowling Green extended their lead to 2-0 when Beckham reached base on a error and later scored on a Jake Jefferies triple.
Matt Moore (5-3) gets the win pitching seven innings, giving up five hits, and striking out nine. Rome's J.J. Hoover (3-3) takes the loss going seven innings giving up just four hits and striking out eight. Marquis Fleming (3) earns the save.
