November 4, 2022 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL)
Moncton Wildcats News Release
The Moncton Wildcats 4-game win streak ended in Charlottetown last night but not for lack of effort. The Cats poured 39 shots at Islanders goalie Francesco Lapenna in a 3-2 loss to the Island squad before 2600 fans at Eastlink Centre.
The game was a close-checking, physical affair and was decided on a late powerplay marker by Alexis Michaud at 17.40 of the third period.
Vincent Labelle scored both Wildcats goals - his 3rd and 4th of the season - with Yoan Loshing adding two assists.
Lapenna was outstanding making 37 saves as the game's First Star. Vincent Fillion also played well stopping 30 shots in the Moncton goal.
