Hops Meet Boise on Neil Everett Night
August 21, 2015 - Northwest League (NWL1)
Hillsboro Hops News Release
The Hillsboro Hops and Boise Hawks meet again tonight at 7:05 at Ron Tonkin Field. Boise took game 1 by a score of 5-3, in a game that featured Dansby Swanson's first career home run.
Sportscenter anchor Neil Everett will be the guest of honor at the game tonight. He'll throw out the first pitch, and the first 1500 fans in attendance will receive a special Neil Everett Hops bobblehead presented by Les Schwab.
With the Hops' brief two-game slide, the Eugene Emeralds have climbed back into a first place tie in the Northwest League South Division with Hillsboro. The Hops have already clinched the playoffs by winning the first half, and Eugene would clinch a berth by winning the second half. If Hillsboro wins the second half too, the next playoff participant would be decided by overall record, in which Salem-Keizer currently holds a one-game lead over Eugene.
Pregame radio starts tonight at 6:35 PM on Rip City Radio 620 AM and at www.ripcityradio.com.
