
Hoppers Set New Franchise Record, Lead League In Attendance

(Greensboro, NC) With 68 games at First Horizon Park this season, the Greensboro Grasshoppers welcomed a franchise record 441,106 guests to the ballpark during the 2007 season.
Leading the South Atlantic League with an average of 6,487 fans per game, the Hoppers have become the only Class A team in the history of Minor League Baseball to draw over 400,000 fans and grow its attendance for three straight years in a new ballpark.
"We are thrilled to have exceeded the goals we set for ourselves upon entering this venture," said Grasshoppers President Donald Moore. "Our fans have proven that First Horizon Park is a great entertainment option in Greensboro."
The Hoppers broke Greensboro's all-time professional baseball attendance record of 427,890 (set by the Grasshoppers in 2006) on August 30 with fan number 427,891.
The Grasshoppers have welcomed over 1,250,000 fans to First Horizon Park in their first three seasons. They are also the proud recipients of the 2005 and 2006 South Atlantic League's Club Merit Award.
