Kolosci (14-6) is a veteran of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Strikeforce, and was a finalist on Season Six of Spike TV's hit show The Ultimate Fighter. Kolosci also fought on the Hoosier Fight Club's second card, January 2 at The Venue at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, and won a decision over Bill Hill. Kolosci's opponent June 11 will be another veteran of the UFC, Luigi Fioravanti (17-6). The former Marine fights for the highly-regarded American Top Team.

The Showdown at The Steel Yard's co-main event again has a local flavor, with Chicago's Anthony Gomez (9-1) tangling with veteran Lew Polley (10-3) in the 205 pound weight class. Gomez hails from Torres Martial Arts in Hammond where he trains with Northwest Indiana legend Miguel Torres. Polley, another dangerous big man, trains with Team Alliance and is a veteran of the International Fight League (IFL).

The rest of the packed card is dotted with local fighters, including Chicagoland native Mark Miller, another veteran of the IFL and a former combatant on The Ultimate Fighter. Four Gary, Indiana natives will also fight June 11 out of Team Colon in Portage: Mike Welch, Lloyd Carter, Brandon Delprado and Jorge Gonzales (as an amateur).
