CORPUS CHRISTI - The Corpus Christi Hooks return home to Whataburger Field Wednesday for four-game series against Texas League South Division rivals Midland and San Antonio.
From Hooks road caps to balloon rides to an appearance by Hall of Fame pitcher Gaylord Perry, fans can settle into summer at the nation's premier minor league sports venue, as announced Monday by minorleaguenews.com
Here's a look at it all, night-by-night:
Wednesday, June 4, Hooks vs. Midland RockHounds, 7:05 - The Hooks and Express Hospitality Service serve Brooks' Buffet, an all-you-can-eat meal in Kieschnick's Korner. A general admission ticket, hot dogs with all the trimmings, nachos, popcorn, soda, tea and water are included for $14 per person. Draft beer (24 oz.) is an additional $5.50.
Buffet diners desiring reserved seat tickets may upgrade for an additional $5, subject to availability.
Celebrate the raising of $10,000 toward construction of Corpus Christi's Miracle League Field, the result of Whataburger's recent pancake breakfast.
Present your Whataburger receipt at the box office to purchase up to four reserved tickets at half-price, subject to availability.

Thursday, June 5, Hooks vs. Midland, 7:05 - It's Thirsty Thursday at Whataburger Field. Translation: discounted beer and soda.

Friday, June 6, Hooks vs. Midland, 7:05 - When the game is over, Bud Light's Friday Fireworks light up the night.
But fun begins in the parking lot east of Whataburger Field at 5 p.m., when the Mayflower Hot Air Balloon takes you up for just $10 a ride, $5 if you have a Hooks ticket. Proceeds benefit construction of our local Miracle League Field.
Inside the stadium, you may feel as though you've drifted back into the "Me" decade. The Whataburger Field ballpark entertainment crew brings disco fever - among other things - to Hooks vs. Hounds. Break out those â70s threads... if you dare. In-game promotions and postgame fireworks will have a â70s flavor.

Saturday, June 7, Hooks vs. Midland, 7:05 - The first 2,500 fans receive a 2008 Hooks Road Cap, courtesy of Cheniere Energy. Gates open at 5:30.
The Mayflower Hot Air Balloon accommodates riders from 5-8 p.m. Ride for just $10, $5 if you hold a Hooks ticket. Proceeds benefit Miracle League Field construction.

Sunday, June 8, Hooks vs. San Antonio Missions, 6:05 - The first 5,000 fans receive 2008 Hooks Team Photos, presented by Coca-Cola. Gates open at 4:30.
From 5-5:30, Hooks players autograph those photos across from Hook, Line & Sinker near the Right Field ramp.Rusty's Kids Club Party, open only to RKC members, runs from 4:30-7:30. Inflatables and unlimited Kid Zone fun via a special wristbandhighlight the event.

Monday, June 9, Hooks vs. Missions, 7:05 - It's Hooks Heroes Night, featuring former Hook and current Round Rock star Ray Sadler. Just $5 nets a Sadler 25 t-shirt, hot dog and soda, subject to availability. Ask at the Whataburger Field Box Office for details.
Register at Guest Services for a Cancun trip giveaway, sponsored by Litton Travel. You must be present to win. Monday is Beach Night, with representatives of Padre Island National Seashore in attendance.

Tuesday, June 10, Hooks vs. Missions, 7:05 - It's Grande Grand Prize Night at the ballpark, your chance to limber up that throwing arm and toss a baseball into the whiskey barrel at second base for up to $1,000.
Balls cost just $1 each and come in quantities of one, five and 10. Proceeds go to Hannah's Hope, a school for autistic children.

Wednesday, June 11, Hooks vs. Missions, 7:05 - The Coastal Bend Chevy Dealers present Hall Of Fame pitcher Gaylord Perry, who signs copies of the book Dugout Wisdom at Hook, Line & Sinker from 5:30-6:30. Book sales benefit a pension fund for Major League scouts.
Perry's Whataburger Field visit is in conjunction with Hall of Fame Night. The Coastal Bend Chevy Dealers award a behind-the-scenes trip for two to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. Registration continues through Friday, June 6, at the 11 dealerships.
In an unrelated promotion, Southwest Airlines gives away two round-trip tickets. Register at the Southwest Airlines table on the main concourse for your chance to win.
