Northwest Arkansas Naturals News Release

Nice weather and a pennant chase, Texas League style, is on tap at Arvest Ballpark this week as the Naturals and Travelers meet once again in a similar situation to the one they left behind just over two weeks ago, with the Naturals in first place and both teams separated by just two games in the standings. Winning this four-game series with the Travelers would give the Naturals a great chance at a first-half playoff spot and home field for the first two games of the Texas League Playoffs in September. In addition to the promise of great baseball action on the diamond, the Naturals have some exciting promotions in this upcoming four-game homestand that can only add to the excitement.

The four-game series against the in-state rival Arkansas Travelers kicks off Wednesday night with our increasingly popular HALF PRICE GROUP NIGHT. On Wednesday, groups of 20 or more are offered half off our normal ticket prices in the reserved and Subway Berm section. Hot Mix 101.9 will be on hand broadcasting live before the game. This Wednesday is also a Nestle Drumstick® Family Night, where fans can redeem a Nestle Drumstick® UPC code for $1 off their ticket at the ticket window. The Nestle Mobile Tour Unit will also be on hand prior to the game handing out FREE Nestle ice cream products. Game time is 7:00 and gates will open at 6:00.

Thursday night come out and beat the heat with Verizon Wireless Thirsty Thursday. Ten-ounce Miller High Life drafts and 12-ounce Pepsi fountain beverages will be offered for one buck. ESPN Radio 1190 The Fan and 104.9 The X will be broadcasting live before the game offering prizes and cool promotions. Game time is 7:00 and gates will open at 6.

Friday night means our fridaynightbash™, which includes Post-Game Fireworks, and pre-game live music courtesy of Stone Manor Condominiums. Friday is also Northwest Arkansas Community College Affiliation Night, offering all area students with valid school ID the chance to get $1 off a reserved or lawn seat ticket at our box office! KIX 104 will be on hand prior to the game broadcasting live outside the ballpark. Friday games begin at 7:30, but gates open at 5:30 and the Naturals will offer Miller High Life specials at the Grist Mill Grill on the first-base line from 5:30 to 7:30. 16 ounce High Life drafts will be $2.50, and 32-ounce drafts in a souvenir Naturals cup will be $5.00! This Friday is also a Nestle Drumstick® Family Night, where fans can redeem a Nestle Drumstick® UPC code for $1 off their ticket at the ticket window. The Nestle Mobile Tour Unit will also be on hand prior to the game handing out FREE Nestle ice cream products.

This particular Friday also serves as our Salute to First Responders, and all local first responders (police, fire, EMT's) may produce their badge at our box office and purchase up to four tickets at $2 off, as part of our way of recognizing them for their service to Northwest Arkansas. A special parade of first responder vehicles from across Benton and Washington counties will occur on-field prior to the game.

Saturday's game wraps up the pivotal series with the Travelers and the short homestand and features a special Brian Poldberg Bobblehead Giveaway for the first 2,500 fans courtesy of Western Federal Credit Union. Don't miss this limited edition bobblehead of our affable manager, the first skipper in Naturals' history - not to mention the first bobblehead he's had made in his likeness during his 25 seasons in baseball! Power 105.7 will also be on hand broadcasting live before the game outside the front gates. Game time is 7:00 P.M, and gates will open at 6.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and play at state-of-the-art Arvest Ballpark, located in Springdale. The Naturals have a toll-free ticket hotline (1-877-444-2637) for fans to purchase Naturals tickets. Our website also offers fans the opportunity to purchase tickets online and avoid lines at the ticket windows by printing their tickets at home or at the office.
