
Honkers Add 2 Oregon Ducks

ROCHESTER, MN. - The 2019 Rochester Honkers baseball club will feature two players from the University of Oregon: A.J. Miller and Vinny Tosti.
Miller is a 6'1", 217-pound infielder from Pataluma, California. He will join the Honkers after completing his freshman season at Oregon. At Casa Grande High School, he hit a .385 batting average, with 12 doubles, 4 triples, and 25 runs batted in (RBIs) as a senior. Miller was named the top-ranked first baseman in California and seventh in the country by Perfect Game, an amateur baseball scouting service. He was also selected a member of first-team All-North Bay League as a senior and junior. As a junior, he batted 0.370 with three home runs and 32 RBIs. He was selected in the 37th round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Oakland Athletics.
Tosti is a 6'0", 193-pound outfielder from Santa Rosa, California. Like Miller, he will join the Honkers following his freshman season at Oregon. In his first 15 collegiate at-bats, he's already generated 3 RBIs. He was the 59th-ranked player in the nation and the seventh-ranked player in California by Perfect Game. Among outfielders, Tosti ranked 13th nationally and second in the state. He was named honorable mention All-North Bay League as a junior at Cardinal Newman High School before transferring to Mater Dei High School for his senior year. In addition, he was a second-team Underclass All-American selection by Perfect Game in 2017.
