vs. ALASKA ACES

Aiming to recover after a rough week which entailed a four-game winless streak (0-3-1), the Thunder squares-off against the Alaska Aces for the second time this season after both teams opened up the Stockton Arena home schedule this season in a thrilling 3-2 overtime win for the Thunder's home crowd. Alaska has ripped off three wins in a row and is 7-2-1 in its last 10 games, standing one point behind Victoria for the best record in the National Conference.

vs. UTAH GRIZZLIES

Saturday - 7:30 p.m. - 1420 KSTN (joined in progress), B2 Networks

The Thunder faces the Utah Grizzlies for the first time this season in a Saturday night duel at Stockton Arena, the first of nine meetings between both clubs this year. The Thunder went 6-1-0 against Utah last season and has won three consecutive games in the head-to-head matchup. Entering this week, Utah was the second most penalized team in the ECHL with 371 penalty minutes. Saturday's game begins a four-game series between both teams and the final three will be held at The E-Center, the home venue of the Grizzlies.

1420 KSTN is the Thunder's flagship radio station and all Thunder games can be heard live on the Internet (free-of-charge) and are available for viewing at a $6 "pay-per-view" charge at www.stocktonthunder.com, courtesy of B2 Networks. Radio broadcaster Mike Benton provides play-by-play commentary, with the "Thunder Forecast" pre-game show starting 15 minutes before each broadcast.

In addition, Valley Brew Family Restaurant is in its second season as official host of the Thunder Watch Party (via B2 Networks' "Bar and Pub Network") for all road games, with prizes, broadcast-interactive contests and more scheduled for all road games this week.

Wednesday, November 14

Victoria 7 - Stockton 4

Marc-Andre Bernier scored two goals and added an assist while former Thunder center Chris St. Jacques had a three-point game (1g-2a) to help the Victoria Salmon Kings send the Thunder to a 7-4 loss at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on Wednesday. Victoria scored three unanswered goals to open the scoring and the Thunder got within two-goal deficits twice, paced by scores from David Rohlfs, Geoff Paukovich, Ryan MacMurchy and Jacob Micflikier. Julien Ellis stopped 40 shots for Victoria.

Friday, November 16

Victoria 4 - Stockton 3

Victoria Salmon Kings forward Wes Goldie's game-winning goal at the 10:56 mark of the third period, along with a two-goal and three-point night from Milan Gajic helped send the Thunder to its third consecutive loss in a 4-3 defeat to Victoria, before 4,152 at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on Friday. The Thunder raced out to a 2-1 lead after one period when Ryan MacMurchy tallied the Thunder's fifth shorthanded goal along with Jacob Micflikier's power-play goal. Ryan O'Marra scored a third period goal to tie the game. Victoria's Billy Thompson stopped 33 shots in net.

Saturday, November 17

Victoria 2 - Stockton 1 (OT)

Behind goaltender Glenn Fisher's 27 saves, the Thunder ended a three-game losing streak in regulation as Dylan Yeo's game-winning goal with three minutes left in overtime gave the Victoria Salmon Kings a 2-1 overtime win over the Thunder, before 4,415 at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on Saturday. Billy Thompson made 41 saves in net to help guide Victoria to their ninth win in 10 games. Brandon Schwartz scored the only Thunder goal in the second period and the Thunder outshot Victoria 42-29.
