
Dayton's Fitzpatrick Suspended 10 Games, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that it has suspended Dayton
right wing Chanse
Fitzpatrick for 10 games and fined him an undisclosed amount as a
result of his actions in ECHL Game #53 against Cincinnati on Nov. 18.
"Mr. Fitzpatrick used his stick in an unacceptable manner," said ECHL Vice
President of Hockey Operations Rod Pasma. "All ECHL players were warned
prior to the start of the season that increased sanctions will be handed
down on players that deliberately target the head of an opponent."
Fitzpatrick is suspended and fined under Rule 29 Supplemental Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and
the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the
ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Fitzpatrick will miss Dayton's games at Wheeling (Nov. 21), at Cincinnati (Nov. 23), at Cincinnati (Nov. 24), vs. Elmira (Nov. 27), vs. Reading (Nov. 30), vs. Reading (Dec. 1), at Cincinnati (Dec. 5), vs. Wheeling (Dec. 7), at Trenton (Dec. 8) and vs. Wheeling (Dec. 14).
