Lexington, KY - Behind four home runs from their offense and seven strong innings from Chris Heston, the Augusta GreenJackets picked up a 10-2 win over the Lexington Legends on Monday night.

With a 1-0 lead as a result of a first-inning double steal, Heston allowed his only two runs on a pair of groundouts after loading the bases in the home half of the first. He settled down and allowed only two hits after the second inning in his first win since May 14th. Heston (3-9) fired seven innings and allowed two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out six.

The GreenJackets broke things open by sending ten men to the plate in a five-run fifth. After Nick Liles and Ryan Cavan hit back-to-back singles with one out in the inning, Chris Dominguez walked to load the bases. Luke Anders unloaded them with his second grand slam of the season and his tenth home run of the year to make it a 5-2 game. The blast cleared the picnic pavilion beyond the right field fence. Tommy Joseph followed with a solo home run that cleared the left field bleachers to pull the Augusta lead to four runs.

Lexington's Robby Donovan (7-5) surrendered all of the early offense and took the loss after firing three innings and allowing six runs on 11 hits and a walk with two strikeouts. He was relieved by Jose Trinidad, who limited the Jackets to one hit over four scoreless innings of relief while striking out three.

Once Trinidad departed, the offense came again for Augusta off Legends reliever Michael Schurz. Ydwin Villegas drilled a two-run home run to right to extend Augusta's lead to six runs. With two outs in the inning, Ryan Cavan hit a two-run shot off the pavilion awning to extend Augusta's lead to 10-2. In the 12 games of the second half, Cavan has hit six of his nine total home runs on the season.

Hector Correa struck out the side in a 1-2-3 inning for the GreenJackets to give Augusta only their second win of their last seven contests. Offensively, GreenJackets have 31 hits in the two games of this series and all five of their extra base hits have been home runs.

Augusta sends Craig Clark (0-1, 3.60) to the mound in his second start of the year in search of the team's second straight win. Lexington counters with righty Tanner Bushue (4-4, 4.29). First pitch from Lexington will come at 7:05 p.m. with the pregame action beginning at 6:50 p.m. on WRDW AM 1630, www.greenjacketsbaseball.com and www.wrdwam.com.
