San Angelo Colts News Release


San Angelo, Texas---The Colts get back to their winning ways as they take game one of a four game set against Edinburg 12-4. Colts have now recorded 22 of their 30 wins at Foster Field. The Colts still have a 3 game lead in the North American South Division.

Colts Co-Captain Jason Crosland (7) jumpstarted the Colts in the Bottom of the second inning with a two run bomb over left field to tie the game at 2-2. Crosland would also score in the fourth inning off a throwing error by Edinburg third baseman C.J Beatty. Captain Crosland would also get his first stolen base on the year in the seventh inning. Ronnie Gaines (12) would also pad his stats on the night as he sent a long ball of his own out of Foster Field. Daryl Jones would add to his league leading RBI total (55) with a three run shot in the bottom of eight inning. The homerun was his 18th of the year, all 18 hit here at Foster Field.

Logan Williamson (8-0, 4.48) would improve to a league best 8-0 after going 5.2 innings, allowing 9 hits giving up 4 runs while striking out 7. Scott Wingo (3-3, 4.13) would chalk up the Loss for the Roadrunners.
