WILSON, N.C., June 26, 2015 - The Wilson Tobs are proud to announce a new partnership with the Wilson County Minister's Association as part of the Fourth Annual Home Run for Hunger.

The Minister's Association would like to challenge all churches to collect five canned goods per church member to take to the game.

The event is set for Tuesday, July 28 at 6 p.m.

The collection of food will benefit several local food organizations in Wilson County. The annual drive is the largest in Wilson as the Tobs will look to stuff the bus.

"Every year our goal is to stock up area food pantries full of food and enough to keep them full for awhile," Tobs general manager Thomas Webb said. "We hope that nobody can see out the windows of our bus, except for the driver."

After last year's event the Tobs donated 15,000 pounds of food to area food pantries. That was 1,000 more than in 2013.

Admission will be free to any individual bringing five canned goods to the game.

All food collected needs to be dropped off at Fleming Stadium to the Wilson Tobs' office next to the North Carolina Baseball Museum.

The Tobs will take on the Gastonia Grizzlies at 7:05 p.m. following the event.
