DES MOINES, Iowa, March 3, 2013 - Justin Holiday had 33 points, 11 rebounds and six steals as the Idaho Stampede beat the Iowa Energy 115-107. The University of Washington product is averaging 28.5 points per game in his last four and he has bested his season-high in points in three of his last four games, with 31, 32 and now 33-point efforts. In addition, Holiday is averaging 4.75 steals per game in his last four and the league's leading thief has collected at least two steals in his last eight games.
Idaho (11-24) entered the fourth quarter tied with Iowa (8-30) but got hot when it mattered, making 11-of-20 shots and 7-of-8 free throws, while forcing seven Energy turnovers to run away with the win, breaking a six-game losing streak. Justin Harper had 16 points and nine rebounds, Jason Ellis had 14 points and 11 rebounds, Durrell Summers added 11, Coby Karl had 10 and seven assists and bench stars Reggie Hamilton (13 points) and Mustapha Farrakhan (10 points) also aided the Stampede.
Iowa was held to just 3-of-12 from behind the three-point line and committed 23 total turnovers, which led to 24 points for the Stampede. Justin Hurtt led the way for the Energy with 24 points. Othyus Jeffers added 20 while Paul Harris had 18 points. Augustus Gilchrist had 19 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks.
