Hockey Challenge 2017 Schedule of Games Announced

Hockey Challenge 2017 will take place Saturday, February 18, at ShoWare Center in Kent and will feature six games. The T-Birds will play the Portland Winterhawks at 6:05 p.m. This game will be followed by the Celebrity All-Star game.
The All-Star game will feature Team Furness vs. Team Slickhawk. Team Furness will be coached by sports host Ian Furness from Sportsradio KJR 950 AM. Team Slickhawk will be coached by Matt "Slickhawk" Mikolas from "Mitch in the Morning" and 12th Man Mania on Sportsradio 950 KJR. Alex Akita from Seattle Sportsnet and the Karate Emergency Podcast will be an assistant coach for Team Furness and Spike O'Neil the afternoon host at KZOK 102.5 will be an assistant coach for Team Slickhawk .
Steve Migs from the BJ & Migs Show on 99.9 FM KISW is a longtime supporter of the Challenge and will return this year to play goalie for one of the Celebrity All-Star teams.
The All-Star game will feature T-Birds alumni and local celebrities skating to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington & Alaska. The full list of T-Birds alumni and local celebrities taking part in the All-Star game was announced today.

Game 2 - DevDiv vs. Xbox Live, 12:15pm
Game 3 - NHLtoSeattle Team Amazon vs. NHLtoSeattle Team Microsoft, 1:55pm
Game 4 - Office 365 vs. Windows, 3:35pm
Game 5 - Seattle Thunderbirds vs. Portland Winterhawks, 6:05 p.m.
Game 6 - Celebrity and T-Birds Alumni All-Star Game, immediately following T-Birds/Winterhawks game.
The Hockey Challenge began in 1998, when hockey-playing Microsoft employees, with the help of the Seattle Thunderbirds, took an in-house rivalry public and decided to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington & Alaska (RMHC). Since inception, the Challenge has raised more than $4.7 million for RMHC, which provides a "home-away-from-home" for children and their families during medical treatment, making each day a little easier.
A ticket to the Hockey Challenge gives fans access to all Challenge events on the day of the Challenge. Events include the Celebrity Game, all other Challenge games and the T-Birds game that night.

T-Birds vs. Portland Saturday on Joe TV
The T-Birds vs. Winterhawks game on Saturday will be broadcast on Joe TV. Joe TV is on Comcast Cable channel 10 and in HD on Comcast Cable channel 110. Joe TV can also be seen over the air on channel 22.
The T-Birds encourages fans to come to the game and be a part of the Joe TV broadcast with their passion and energy. Fans coming to the game should make sure they record the game and watch it when they get home to see the positive impact they can have on the team.

The T-Birds have eight games this season against the Winterhawks that are being broadcast on Joe TV or This TV. The next game to be broadcast after this Saturday will be Saturday, March 11 in Portland on This TV.

Boy Scout and Girl Scout Night is February 25
The second of two Scout Nights this season is Saturday, February 25, against the Kelowna Rockets. A Boy Scout Troop will present the colors for the game. The T-Birds have a ticket special for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. If your Scout Troop would like attend the game contact Jason Thomsen with the T-Birds to order tickets. Mascot and Youth Group Night is February 26
The T-Birds second Youth Group Night of the 2016-17 season is Sunday, February 26, when the T-Birds take on the Everett Silvertips at 5:05pm at ShoWare Center.
Youth Groups can get 10 tickets for $95. Plus the first 1,000 tickets ordered will also get a T-Birds hat. I ce cream will also be $1 for all fans at this game.
Mascot Night is also Sunday, February 26. Mascots from local sports teams and businesses will take part in the intermission activities. Mascots will also be on the concourse at ShoWare Center from the time doors open interacting with fans.

Directors Mortgage 2-for-Tuesday vs. Spokane Chiefs
The eighth Directors Mortgage 2-for-Tuesday is March 7 against the Spokane Chiefs.
The first 2,500 fans will receive the eighth of eight player magnets.

BECU Honors Military Members At T-Birds Games You served. Now watch Thunderbirds' opponents be served as the BECU Military Member of the Night. Lieutenant Colonel Greg Bigalk, a retired 21 year veteran of the US Marine Corps was the military member honored by BECU at the game February 10 vs. Tri-City Americans.
Current US Army Staff Sergeant of 13, years Mike Oxley was the military member honored by BECU at the game on February 11 vs. Portland Winterhawks.
Air Force Captain of 9 years Kathleen Zendejas, was the military member honored by BECU at the game on February 14 vs. Red Deer Rebels.

The Doxon Toyota VIP Parking Area is on the west side of ShoWare Center right near the Suite and Heritage Club ticket entrance.
This season fans will also see Doxon Toyota automobiles up close on the ShoWare Center plaza throughout the season. The T-Birds very popular second intermission Chuck-A-Puck Promotion will feature new Doxon Toyota automobiles all season long. Fans will notice the Doxon Toyota name throughout the ShoWare Center.

Hot Dog Happy Hour
At every home game this season fans can get bottled beer, domestic draft beer, wine and well cocktails at 2-for-1 prices in the Heritage Club for the first 30 minutes after the doors open. Fans must have a Club Ticket to access the Heritage Club.
Fans can also get $3 hot dogs and $3 cans of soda at the southeast concession stand for the first 30 minutes after doors open at ShoWare Center. This is the concession stand nearest the Hockey Store.
Les Schwab Ice Box Includes Club Buffet
The Les Schwab Ice Box is a great way for your group to watch a T-Birds game. When you purchase a Les Schwab Ice Box for a T-Birds game you receive:
30 to 50 tickets in the first 3 rows of Section 113. The Les Schwab Ice Box can accommodate more than 50 tickets if needed. Each ticket costs only $38 per group member and includes a voucher for the Heritage Club Buffet. Each guest will have access to the Heritage Club located on the 2nd level of ShoWare Center. Group Welcome on the Video Board. Group Leader receives $10 worth of Chuck-a-Pucks. Group Leader receives 2 FREE tickets to another game. Entry into the Group MVP of the Night for the chance to win a Universal Travel Organizer from Ricardo Beverly Hills.
