Myrtle Beach Pelicans News Release
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are announcing a partnership with Bank of America and Sunbelt Rentals for "Hits for Homes". For every Pelicans' hit at TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark in 2019, $10 will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Horry County by both Bank of America and Sunbelt Rentals for a total of $20 per hit.
"We are very excited about this partnership," said Carla Schuessler, the executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Horry County. "We're growing, we're building more, doing more, serving more families in Horry County and this is going to be a great part of that."
Founded in 1991, Habitat for Humanity of Horry County has a "mission to eliminate substandard housing in Horry County, S.C. by establishing partnerships to build simple, decent and affordable housing and communities together." Serving families whose income falls 35-80 percent below the average median income, they have worked alongside more than 140 families to purchase home with an interest-free mortgage.
Upon the conclusion of the 2019 season, a check presentation will be held at TicketReturn.Com Field, where Bank of America and Sunbelt Rentals will present Habitat for Humanity of Horry County with the full amount raised from the "Hits for Homes" campaign.
The Pelicans' 2019 season kicks off on April 4 against the Lynchburg Hillcats. Season tickets are available now. For more information or to purchase tickets visit myrtlebeachpelicans.com or call 843-918-6000.
