Hitmen release finalized 2006-07 schedule

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen are pleased to release their finalized 2006-07 schedule. The Hitmen will open the new campaign with a home and home series against Red Deer, hosting the Rebels on Friday, September 22nd before playing the return match in Red Deer on Saturday, September 23rd.

Of the 36 Hitmen home games, 24 will be played on the weekend with 8 on Fridays, 6 on Saturdays and 11 on Sundays.

The Kootenay Ice move to the Central Division this season so the Hitmen will face division rivals Kootenay, Red Deer, Medicine Hat and Lethbridge 8 times.

This year's schedule also features a season high 10 game home stand starting in December while the longest road trip is five games starting in late November.

Hitmen home games (Mon-Sat) start at 7 p.m. in the Pengrowth Saddledome while Sunday games are either 2 p.m. or 5 p.m. starts.
