
Hitmen Forward Riley Stotts Attending NHL Scouting Combine

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club is pleased to announce sophomore forward Riley Stotts is attending the 2018 NHL Scouting Combine in Buffalo, NY. A total of 104 players have been invited to the combine including 11 from the Western Hockey League.
"This is tremendous opportunity for Riley ahead of June's NHL Draft," said Hitmen General Manager Jeff Chynoweth. "His draft stock took a major step forward this season becoming a strong two-way player in our league. He has a bright future and we expect him to be a key piece of our team moving forward."
Stotts, who can play both centre and the wing, was acquired by the Hitmen on Nov. 25, 2017 in a trade with the Swift Current Broncos. Selected 10th overall in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft, he recorded a breakout season in 2017/18 recording almost a point a game in Calgary tallying 41 points in 47 games. Stotts also registered 15 points (7g, 8a) in his final 15 games to finish fourth in team scoring.
All 31 NHL teams have the opportunity for one-on-one interviews with the prospects attending the combine through Friday. Medical exams for each player will be done Wednesday, and eight of the 11 fitness tests will take place Saturday.
