Hitmen forward Freddie Pettersson attending Sweden's World Junior Evaluation Camp

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen are pleased to announce forward Freddie Pettersson is one of 41 players taking part in Sweden's World Junior Evaluation Camp. It's the first step in Sweden's selection process toward the 2007 World Junior Hockey Championship.
Camp opened today in Rimbo, Sweden and continues until Friday, June 16th. Players selected from this evaluation will travel to Lake Placid, N.Y. in August to participate in exhibition games against the U-S National Junior Camp.
Pettersson, a 2005 fifth round pick of Edmonton Oilers played for Sweden in the 2006 World Junior Hockey Championship collecting five points (3G2A) in six games.
Upon completing Team Sweden's Evaluation Camp, Pettersson will head to Edmonton for the Oilers Development Camp from June 18-24.
