Hitmen Acquire a Sixth-Round Draft Pick from the Saskatoon Blades

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club today announced they have acquired a sixth-round pick in the 2020 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft from the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for 18-year-old forward Zach Huber.

"With the expected return of 17-year-old forward Bryce Bader from injury this weekend we needed to open up a roster spot in our forward group," said Hitmen general manager Jeff Chynoweth. "We would like thank Zach for his time in Calgary and wish him success moving forward with the Blades."

Huber, a product of Grandora, SK has tallied 10 points (6g, 4a) in 72 games during parts of two seasons with the Hitmen.

Calgary returns to action for Game 3 of their four game homestand on Friday, Nov. 2 against the Medicine Hat Tigers. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome for RE/MAX Chuck-A-Puck where four lucky participants will win a hot air balloon ride courtesy of RE/MAX.

The homestand then wraps on Saturday, Nov. 3 in a 1:30 matinee at the 'Dome against the Red Deer Rebels. It's also the Diwali Celebration. The afternoon will include South Asian Cuisine on the concourse, Bhangra Dancers and a Festival of Lights.
