THE HILLCATS: Frederick topped Lynchburg 2-1 in ten innings last night at Harry Grove Stadium...The Hillcats still won the series to begin the road trip 2-1...Tonight is the fourth game of a six-game road trip, the final road trip of the season for the Cats...

VS. POTOMAC: The P-Nats are 10-7 against the Cats this year and are 4-3 at City Stadium...The Hillcats were just 5-14 against the Nationals in 2007...Lynchburg still holds the all-time series edge 138-136...After starting the season 0-5 against Potomac, the Hillcats snapped a 14-game losing streak to the Nationals on May 28th and stopped a nine-game skid at the Pfitz...The Cats are 62-69 against the Nats in Woodbridge...

SET ON THE ROAD: Despite losing last night's series finale the Hillcats still won the series against the Keys in Frederick...This after they went 1-9-2 in their previous 12 series...It was their first road series victory since June 29-July 1st when they took two out of three from Wilmington at Frawley Stadium...

EXTRAS AGAIN: Last night's game marked the thrid time in four games and the fourth time in seven contests that the Hillcats played extra innings...It was also the second time in three games in the series against the Keys...The Cats played just four extra inning games in their first 122 contests...With the loss last night Lynchburg fell to 2-6 in extra inning games this season...

WALK-OFF FASHION: Frederick beat Lynchburg 2-1 with a home run in the bottom of the tenth inning last night...It was the sixth time this season the Hillcats lost in walk-off fashion...The Cats have had three walk-off wins this year...

TENTH INNING BOMBS: Last night Billy Rowell hit a home run in the bottom of the tenth that gave Frederick a 2-1 win in the final game of the three-game set...In the series opener 1B Kent Sakamoto hit a game-winning solo shot in the top of the tenth...

FAB FOUR: RHP Brad Lincoln, who was the fourth overall pick in the 2006 draft by Pittsburgh, and LHP Daniel Moskos, who was the fourth overall pick of the Pirates in 2007, combined to allow just one run in eight innings of work last night...Lincoln matched his career-high with seven strikeouts and allowed just one run on three hits in six innings...Moskos struckout three in two scoreless innings of relief...It was the best start as a Hillcat for Lincoln and it was the first appearance that Moskos did not allow a run since he was moved to the bullpen at the end of July...

TONIGHT'S OPPOSING PITCHER: RHP Luis Atilano was originally drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the first round of the 2003 amateur entry draft...That pick was compensation for the Mets signing Tom Glavine...He made his professional debut with the GCL Braves in 2003 and went 3-2 with a 3.83 ERA in 12 starts...The following season he advanced to the Danville Braves in the Appalachian League (rookie) and posted 5-1 record with a 4.20 ERA in 13 starts...In 2005 he moved up again to Low-A Rome and went 8-9 with a 4.17 ERA and started in the South Atlantic League All-Star game...Then in 2006 he recorded a record of 6-7 with a 4.50 ERA in 24 starts before he season ended due to an injury that resulted in Tommy John surgery...He was traded in August of that year for 1B Daryle Ward to the Washington organization...Last season he made just one appearance with the GCL Nationals (one and 1/3 inning and one run allowed)...This year he began with Low-A Hagerstown and made seven appearances (three starts), recorded a save and posted 3.16 ERA...He was since spent time with both Potomac and Double-A Harrisburg, going 4-1 with a 2.11 ERA in 11 appearances (seven starts) with the P-Nats and an 0-1 record in two games (one start) in Harrisburg...He made two starts against Lynchburg in 2006 and went 0-1 with 8.10 ERA and has made two starts against the Hillcats this year, going 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA...In both outings he has gone five innings and allowed one run...
