Hillcats Announce Radio Deal for Upcoming Season

Lynchburg, Va) - All Lynchburg Hillcats games, regular season and post-season, will once again be broadcasted live on WKDE 105.5 FM in 2009, as announced by the organization today. In addition, all games will be streamed live over the internet via the team's online presence,

WKDE has served as the home of Hillcats radio broadcasts since the 2003 season. Every broadcast will kick off with the Pre-Game Show beginning 25-minutes prior to the scheduled contest, which will include interviews, a preview of the upcoming game and highlights from the last contest. Each game will conclude with the "Walden Pond" Post-Game Show, a 15-minute report that will feature on-field interviews, the game recap and a preview of the next game for the Hillcats.

"We are very pleased to announce our continued partnership with KD Country," said Hillcats General Manager Paul Sunwall. "It has been a great relationship that continues to give the Hillcats an excellent radio presence throughout all of Central Virginia for our fans to enjoy."

KD Country is a 6,000-watt FM station located in Altavista, Va. On the air since 1969, current Owner/President Dave Hoehne bought the station in 1992. In addition, Hoehne also owns the sister AM station of KD Country, WKDE 1000.

Broadcasts start on Thursday, April 9th, as the Hillcats host the Potomac Nationals at 6:05 p.m. at City Stadium. Scott Bacon returns for another year as the Voice of the Hillcats and will be joined in the booth by newcomer Scott Blusiewicz.

Crystal-clear audio will be delivered via the Tieline Commander G3, the winner of radio's most prestigious technology honor, the "Cool Stuff" Award. The Tieline Commander G3 studio codec is among the worlds most successful and widely used audio devices for remote broadcasts.

Season tickets, book tickets and nightly skybox rentals are currently on sale for the 2009 season. They can be purchased by calling the box office at (434) 528-1144 or online at Ticket purchases can also be made in person at the Lynchburg City Stadium Ticket Office (Mon.-Fri., 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.).
