November 28, 2012 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Bridgeport Islanders News Release
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Nov. 28, 2012) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today that defenseman Jordan Hill has agreed to terms on a one-year, American Hockey League deal.
Hill, 23, began his third professional season with the Ontario Reign of the ECHL, before joining the Sound Tigers on a Professional Tryout Contract on Oct. 27. In seven games this season with the Islanders top affiliate, the Sarnia, ON native has five points (one goal, four assists).
In his first two professional seasons, Hill appeared in 58 American Hockey League games with the Manchester Monarchs, where current Sound Tigers Head Coach Scott Pellerin served as an assistant coach. Hill played four years of junior hockey with the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League, before making his professional debut at the end of the 2009-10 season with the AHL's Manitoba Moose.
The Sound Tigers return to Webster Bank Arena for two games on Saturday, Dec. 1 and Sunday, Dec. 2. The Sound Tigers host the Worcester Sharks on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. for Military Appreciation Night. All active and retired military will be admitted to Saturday night's game for free and must provide military ID.
Sunday's game against Norfolk at 5:00 p.m. is the Sound Tigers annual Teddy Bear Toss game. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently-used stuffed animals to Sunday's game, then toss them onto the ice directly after the Sound Tigers first goal of the game.
