Hildebrand Named Moose Equipment Manager

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, are pleased to announce the hiring of Steve Hildebrand as the hockey club's new Equipment Manager.

Hildebrand comes to the Moose following six seasons as the Athletic Trainer of the Western Hockey League's Saskatoon Blades. The Morden, MB native held a dual role with the Blades as both equipment manager and athletic trainer. Previous to his time in Saskatoon, Hildebrand spent three seasons with the Flin Flon Bombers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL).

Hildebrand's career at the junior ranks was filled with notable accomplishments and recognitions. In 2002, he was named as one of the athletic trainers for the CHL Top Prospects Game held that year in Saskatoon. That year, he was also named to Team Canada as their Equipment Manager which won the gold medal at the Under-18 World Championships in the Czech Republic. In 2003, Hildebrand served as Equipment Manager for Team Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championships held in Halifax. That year, Canada won a silver medal. Finally, in 2005, he was the Athletic Trainer for Team WHL during the Canada-Russia Challenge.

Hildebrand joins Rob Milette in the dressing room as part of the Moose training staff. Milette is entering his second season as Manitoba Moose Athletic Therapist.
