
High flying Oilers head to Youngstown

Tulsa Oilers News Release
The Tulsa Oilers conclude a four game road trip this weekend, making their first visit ever to Youngstown, Ohio to take on the SteelHounds. The Oilers fly out Thursday morning (their only road trip flight of the season) for games Friday and Saturday. Both games start at 6:05 p.m. Central time and both can be heard on KMMY FM 97.1.
The Oilers took four of a possible six points last weekend, defeating Lubbock 3-2, then dropping a 3-0 decision in Austin which ended a a three game winning streak. The Oilers got back on the winning track Sunday night with a rousing 4-1 victory in Amarillo.
Super Mario:
Defenseman Mario Joly had a big weekend to move to the top of the Oiler scoring chart. Joly had two assists in the win over Lubbock. But he was just warming up. On Sunday he notched the club's first hat trick of the season, and also added an assist on the Oilers fourth goal. His big weekend now gives him three goals and four assists for seven points.
Top Stopper:
Goaltender Chris King posted the two wins on the weekend for the Oilers, surrendering just three goals. He leads the league with a 1.95 goals against average, and is second in the league with a .932 save percentage (behind Larry Stirling of Fort Worth at .934)
Home Next:
The Oilers return home on Tuesday November 15 at 7 p.m. against the Amarillo Gorillas.
